A man is dead following an early morning motorcycle crash Saturday in downtown Peoria.
Police found the victim unresponsive after responding to the roundabout intersection of Washington and Harrison streets shortly before 3 a.m.
Despite life-saving measures performed by Peoria Fire Department and Advanced Medical Transport personnel, the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the man as Aaron Davis, 32, of Hanna City. Harwood said Davis was not wearing a helmet, and he died from blunt force trauma. Toxicology tests are pending.
Peoria police closed the intersection for more than three hours as the department’s traffic unit investigated the incident.
