How Do Matching Gifts Work?
Once you determine your employer will match your gift to WCBU, you will need to apply for the match. Some employers provide a paper form for you to fill out and submit to WCBU along with your contribution. Most employers have an online method for matching gift requests. Check with your employer's Human Resources or Community Relations office.
Please direct the funds to the Illinois State University Foundation, with Friends of WCBU as the designation. Use the email address email@example.com. The tax ID is 37-6025713.
Once you have completed your employer’s process, the ISU Foundation will verify we've received your contribution.
Ongoing Monthly Contributors
We suggest waiting until the last quarter or the end of each calendar year to apply for your employer's matching gift. This will allow you to apply once for the total amount or very close to the total amount of your giving for that calendar year. Many monthly contributors use their year-end tax receipt from the Illinois State University Foundation as a reminder to apply for their employer's matching gift. Year-end tax receipts are distributed every January.
Caterpillar Employees and Retirees
All Caterpillar matching gift requests must be submitted online through the Foundation’s website. Please follow the steps on Caterpillar's website.
State Farm Employees and Retirees
