Jamonica Rolle was announced Monday as the choice to follow the retired Sheila Quirk-Bailey as president of Illinois Central College. Rolle comes to the Peoria area after serving in a leadership position at Broward College in Florida.

Following a comprehensive national search, the ICC search committee narrowed the candidates down to Jamonica Rolle from Broward College in Florida, David Ferreira from Charter Oak State College in Connecticut and Lisa Armour from the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona.

Seeking more public input on deciding who will be the institution’s next president, Illinois Central College will host public forums with the remaining candidates. ICC’s presidential search committee has narrowed the field of possible replacements for Sheila Quirk-Bailey to three finalists. They have not been named publicly yet.
