A man has died following a Wednesday shooting in the East Bluff. 24-year-old Jermaine Jackson was pronounced dead at OSF Medical Center on Thursday afternoon.
Peoria Police Spokeswoman Amy Dotson says ShotSpotter identified one shot fired in the 500 block of East McClure Wednesday at 6:18 p.m. About two minutes later, police found Jackson’s vehicle crashed into a parked car on private property less than a block away, in the 2400 block of North New York. Witnesses reported two men fleeing the scene, but Dotson says it’s not clear what role they may have played, if any.
Peoria Police continues to investigate. There are no suspects at this time.
