Suspects in Tuesday shooting death turn themselves in, arrested for February homicide

Peoria Police say they’ve made three arrests related to the February shooting death of 12-year-old Demarcus Payne.

Police Captain Loren Marion says 18-year-olds Darrell Brown and Draneol Hall turned themselves in to police in connection to Tuesday’s shooting death of Quenton Lowe.  Marion says the recent homicide allowed officers to gather information on the fatal shooting that took place this past winter:

“The result of the interviews and further investigation of yesterday’s incident helped put that together and gave us the probable cause to make an arrest.”

Marion says a 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested in connection to the Demarcus Payne homicide.  He says all three suspects are members of a Peoria gang called “Mac Block.”   Police say Darrell Brown was the only arrest made in Tuesday’s fatal shooting of Quenton Lowe.
