Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has released the identity of a 30-year-old Chillicothe woman killed in a Friday morning crash on Illinois Route 29.

In a Sunday social media post, Harwood said Raven Jackson died from multiple blunt force injuries suffered in the collision. He said Jackson’s injuries “were incompatible with life.”

The two-vehicle crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Illinois 29, or Galena Road, and North Riverview Road near Mossville.

The coroner said Jackson was wearing a seat belt, and bystanders attempted to provide aid after the crash, but she died at the scene. The coroner said Jackson was able to be an organ and tissue donor.

Earlier reports indicated Jackson was traveling north when her vehicle was struck nearly head-on by a mid-sized truck going the opposite direction.
