A Morton man is dead after an apparent accidental fall, according to Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley.
Hanley's office responded around 7:30 a.m. Sunday to the 27000 block of Lakeland Road in rural Morton for a report of a fatal accident. Samson Vlahos, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hanley said an autopsy on Monday showed the cause of death was from multiple blunt force injuries caused by a fall from a structure, adding the fall appears to be accidental; a toxicology test is pending.
The case remains under investigation by the coroner's office and the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office Office.
