One person is dead after a two vehicle accident Saturday morning in rural Tazewell County.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says his office was called for an accident around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Towerline Road and Toboggan Avenue in rural Green Valley.
At 12:30 p.m., the coroner's office pronounced a rural Tazewell County man dead at the scene. His name is unavailable, while authorities notify his family.
Hanley says an autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning and more information will be released afterwards.
The case is still under investigation by Illinois State Police, the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office and the Tazewell County Coroner's Office.
