Peoria woman charged with murder of boyfriend

A Peoria woman faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend.

Prosecutors said 18-year-old TNashia Wash shot and killed 30-year-old Roderick Richardson on Monday in the 1200 block of North Ellis.

The two had reportedly been arguing when the shooting happened. Richardson was shot multiple times from a distance.

A detention hearing for Wash is set for Thursday. She remains in the Peoria County Jail.
