A man is dead after a shooting on Peoria's Center Bluff

A man is dead after a shooting Monday night in Peoria.

Police responded to a nine-round ShotSpotter alert in the 2400 block of North Sheridan Road shortly after 8:20 p.m. A man was found at the scene with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead in the hospital operating room at 10:40 p.m.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the man as 33-year-old Antonio Hardy of Peoria.

This is the city's 19th homicide of the year.
