The Peoria County Coroner has identified the man killed in a Saturday shooting on Peoria's East Bluff.

Coroner Jamie Harwood says 42-year-old Maurice Young was shot in the chest and likely died within seconds.

Police say three ShotSpotter alerts went off in the 400 blocks of E. Arcadia and E. Thrush within moments of each other just after 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

The case is under investigation. 34-year-old Lovell Eggleston was identified by police only as a person on scene shooting a firearm. He was arrested for aggravated discharged of a firearm and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Peoria police at (309) 673-4521, CrimeStoppers anonymously at (309) 673-9000, or text tip411 anonymously.
