Peoria woman's drowning now under investigation as a homicide

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the drowning of a Peoria woman last week is now under investigation as a homicide.

Harwood says 58-year-old Tamara Schaidle was drowned by someone else. She also had significant blunt force trauma inflicted upon her.

Schaidle's body was found in the Illinois River near the RiverPlex on March 21.
