A 20-year-old Mason County man died Monday following an early morning motorcycle crash in Groveland.
According to Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley, deputies from the sheriff’s office found Samuel Rodgers shortly before 6 a.m. in a grassy area off the roadway in the 17000 block of Springfield Road, south of Queenwood Road.
Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:25 a.m. Hanley said preliminary autopsy findings indicate Rodgers suffered multiple blunt force injuries.
The results of toxicology tests are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
