Tazewell County prosecutors have filed first-degree murder charges against a 93-year-old Pekin man accused of killing his wife. James Pate remains in custody in the Tazewell County Jail following his arrest Tuesday afternoon for allegedly causing the death of Cheryl Pate, 80.

Tazewell County court records show Allison Salinas pleaded guilty to felony solicitation of murder for trying to have her husband killed.

Makenna Rhodes, 21, was arrested Thursday by Pekin Police. According to court documents, Rhodes was babysitting on June 26 when first responders were dispatched to her residence for an unresponsive infant.

A detention hearing for Brian Childers on charges in Tazewell County is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Dahlia Bolin, 17, is being tried as an adult on six felony charges, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of solicitation of murder.
