The mural on the Niagara Parking Deck on Adams Street features pictures of the six Peoria residents spelling out each letter in the city name.

The collaboration between Big Picture Peoria, the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, and the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission features murals from across Peoria, allowing visitors to take an art tour of the area.

High-tech history will come to life in the city’s downtown on Saturday morning when the Peoria Public Library goes “live” with a series of augmented-reality “Portraits of Peoria” murals adorning the building’s façade.

The mural's augmented reality functions can be accessed through an app developed by a Bradley University student.
