Statehouse reporterIsabela Nieto is a statehouse reporter for WBEZ. She started out at the station in 2025 as their statehouse reporting intern, as part of the University of Illinois at Springfield’s Public Affairs Reporting masters program. She rejoined WBEZ in February 2026, moving to Springfield, IL with her cat Petra.
