Duckworth visits flooded Illinois areas, talks infrastructure improvement

Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth made her way through storm-ravaged Illinois today, a day after major flooding in some areas of the state.

Duckworth made stops in Champaign, Carbondale and DuQuoin to connect with voters for her U.S. Senate campaign.

The Democrat touted her work on federal TIGER grant money, which is targeted toward infrastructure improvement.

She says more investment in public works can help prevent flooding in Illinois in addition to making federal emergency money more available after flooding occurs.
