Bradley University says two more basketball players who were suspended for the end of the season are no longer involved in a Missouri criminal investigation, but a spokesperson for the police department said it could not confirm the information.

The university issued a statement Thursday indicating Terry Nolan Jr. and Danya Kingsby “have been cleared of any accusations” in relation to an incident last month and are no longer considered suspects or persons of interest by the Springfield (Mo.) Police Department.

In response to a WCBU inquiry, Springfield PD Public Affairs Officer Jasmine Bailey said, “We do not currently have any updates available nor can I confirm the accuracy of the statement from Bradley.”

Bobby Parker, Bradley’s associate athletic director for communications, said police told the university that Nolan and Kingsby “have been released from the case.”

Nolan, Kingsby, Elijiah Childs and Ja’Shon Henry were named in a Feb. 13 police report alleging a sex offense that was not rape. The four players were all suspended ahead of the Braves’ games against Missouri State; Henry was later reinstated and played in Bradley’s final four games.

In its statement Thursday, Bradley said an investigation into whether the players violated the student code of conduct is ongoing.
