The 60-year-old man who died Thursday when his bicycle was struck by a truck on Knoxville Avenue has been identified.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Mark J. Stahl of Peoria died at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after suffering multiple blunt force injuries.

An initial investigation indicates Stahl was riding west on Forrest Hill and proceeded on a green light through the intersection when he was hit by the driver of a northbound truck that disobeyed the traffic signal.

Officers on the scene based their determination on video footage and witness accounts. The driver of the truck has been cited and the investigation is still in progress.
