A family of four was rescued from a fire at the Lexington Hills apartment Wednesday morning.
Crews arrived around 2 a.m. to find heavy smoke rising from an apartment building. A family was unable to get out of their third-floor apartment. They were rescued by firefighters via ladder from their apartment window.
The family was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Damage is estimated at $50,000. The fire was contained to a second floor apartment. Thirty people were displaced. The cause is under investigation.
