TRIVOLI -- An 18-year-old rural Elmwood woman is dead after a two vehicle accident on W. Farmington Road late Saturday morning.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Jozcelyn Lesones stopped to turn left into a driveway near Farmington Road's intersection with Stone School Road around 11:30 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup truck. Her vehicle was pushed into a ditch.
Harwood said Lesones was life-flighted. She was pronounced dead just before 12:30 p.m.
There will be no autopsy. Toxicology results are pending. Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell said Monday the driver of the pickup truck was cited for driving too fast.
W. Farmington Road is also known as Illinois Route 116.
