The East Peoria man whose truck was struck in the accident on I-74 at Pinecrest in Drive Monday evening has died. The Peoria County Coroner says 39-year-old Wayne Farrow succumb to the traumatic head injuries he sustained.
Farrow’s Ford F-150 pick-up truck was traveling Eastbound on Interstate 74, behind a semi-tractor lowboy-style trailer that was hauling a combine about 6:30 Monday evening. The semi-tractor struck the underside of the Pinecrest overpass with the combine it was hauling, causing the top of the combine to tear off and strike the hood and cab portion of the truck.
Coroner Harwood says Farrow died Tuesday evening about about 24-hours after the accident.
