The Peoria County Coroner has released the name of the teenage boy who was shot and killed Sun.
Coroner Jamie Harwood’s office has identified the victim as 16-year-old Trayvon N Harris, of Peoria.
Following Monday's autopsy, the coroner said Harris was shot three times and likely died instantly from the gunshot wounds.
Police say his body was found in an alley near the 1300 block of North Broadway Street,, less than a block away from Franklin Primary School.
Peoria Police reports another 16 year-old-victim was shot and transported to OSF with non-life threatening injuries.
