The City of Peoria is chipping in on home improvement projects in the East Bluff.
The East Village Growth Cell Housing Program is a 50-50 matching grant that would help property owners pay for home improvements. The City says in a news release eligible projects include exterior improvements, mechanical upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
The program would provide up to $15,000 in assistance to homeowners for qualifying residential improvements. To be eligible, applicants must own and occupy property located within the boundary of the East Village Growth Cell TIF district.
The City says it will begin accepting applications on February 15th. The application and eligibility requirements are availablehere.
