Schock weighs-in on Pres. Obama’s call for minimum wage hike

President Obama called for raising the federal minimum wage in last night’s State Of The Union speech. Republican Congressman Aaron Schock says the best way to boost income is to pass pending trade agreements and tax reform:

“Incomes will rise, and the economy will grow, and that’s how people move up the economic ladder, not just artificially raising the cost of labor.”

Schock made his comments on MSNBC. He also took issue with President Obama’s call for new childcare tax credits, saying overall tax reform can help lower rates for everyone.
