Darin LaHood talks priorities, issues in Congressional run

Darin LaHood has served as a prosecutor in Cook and Tazewell Counties and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Nevada. He is a State Senator from Dunlap. And LaHood is one of the Republican Candidates for Congress in the 18th District.  IPR's Charlie Schlenker asked LaHood if he would consider raising the gas tax to help pay for infrastructure improvements. LaHood started the interview by explaining that he wants the job in Congress because it's an opportunity to contribute to community and country...

Darin LaHood's primary opponents in the district that stretches from Quincy to Bloomington Normal are Mike Flynn - who moved from Washington to Quincy to run, and Donald Rients of Benson.
