Caterpillar employees and retirees are giving a local organization a boost in its annual fundraising campaign.
The Caterpillar Foundation announced it’s matching more than six million dollars in donations to United Ways across the nation. That’s a record 12-point-eight million dollars for the national organization.
The Heart of Illinois United Way, serving the Peoria area, is getting about half of the money.
