Peoria County Sheriff's Office warning of new scam

The Peoria County Sheriff’s office is warning residents of a new scam. The department says people are receiving calls that they have an active warrant. The caller then gives victims instructions on how to pay the warrants. The Sheriff’s Office says it never makes calls about warrants and they must be taken care of in-person. Residents receiving these calls are encouraged to call the County Sheriff’s Office.
