Some Bradley University students pursuing careers in the legal field have a streamlined path to law school, through a new partnership with DePaul University.
The two institutions on Wednesday announced a direct admission agreement that gives qualifying Bradley seniors and recent graduates guaranteed acceptance to DePaul’s College of Law in Chicago, along with scholarship support.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with DePaul Law to help create the next generation of leaders in the legal profession,” Bradley University Provost Dan Moon said in a media release.
“The rigorous preparation students receive at Bradley combined with the stellar professional knowledge and skills they gain at DePaul Law will forge a truly transformational path to success for our students.”
Up to five students will be selected for the direct admission program each year. An applicant must have at least a 3.65 GPA, earn a minimum score of 153 on the Law School Admission Test [LSAT], complete required pre-law coursework, and meet other eligibility criteria.
“Bradley University’s commitment to preparing purpose-driven leaders closely aligns with our mission to educate lawyers who lead with purpose and integrity,” said Geoffrey Rapp, dean of DePaul Law.
“We are especially excited about the potential these students bring to helping close access-to-justice gaps across Illinois.”
Selected students will receive a minimum annual scholarship of around $13,400. All undergraduate majors can apply. More information can be found on Bradley’s pre-law resources and services website.
