Bradley University has removed the interim tag from Dan Moon's title as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.
Moon was hired after a national search, university officials said. He has served in the provost role on an interim basis since last year.
“Our new provost must be a person of integrity. Someone who will hold us accountable, who can collaborate effectively while also driving meaningful transformation, and who would require little learning curve to begin this important work. Dan is that person,” said Bradley University President James Shadid.
Moon came to Bradley in 2022 as the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
“Bradley is filled with extraordinary faculty, staff, and students who share a commitment to excellence and innovation. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them as we build on our strong academic foundation and prepare our students to lead and make a difference in the world," Moon said.
Prior to coming to Peoria, Moon spent 17 years as an administrator at the University of North Florida.
