Peoria police are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy early Wednesday.
According to a department spokesperson, officers were called to the 2400 block of North Sheridan Road shortly after 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they located the deceased teen inside a residence.
Police and Peoria County coroner Jamie Harwood remained on the scene through midday.
No other information has been released.
