Peoria police: Man dead after being found in vehicle with gunshot wounds

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the victim as Thomas Antoine, 30, of Peoria.

Peoria police say a man has died after being found inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.

Police say they were called to the 2100 block of North Gale Avenue about 1:25 a.m. Saturday for a report of a person being shot. Officers found the man inside the vehicle.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the victim was Thomas Antoine, 30, of Peoria. He was pronounced dead at 2:18 a.m. Saturday at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Police have labeled the shooting as a homicide and said they have no suspect information.

The Peoria Police Department said the shooting remains under investigation and has not released any additional information as of Sunday afternoon.
