Peoria home set for demolition after Saturday morning fire

A home on Malone Avenue in Peoria is marked for emergency demolition after a house fire Saturday morning.

According to the Peoria Fire Department, firefighters arrived at a house fire in the 2700 block of West Malone Avenue around 7 a.m.

Officials said the building was unoccupied and a search found no victims. No injuries were reported.

A department fire investigator said the cause of the fire is under investigation.

After the fire was extinguished, a city building inspector ordered an emergency demolition. The estimated damage is $30,000.
