The Peoria Fire Department said a Thursday night fire that damaged multiple vehicles on West Main Street was intentionally set.

Crews responded to a lot at 500 W. Main St. shortly before 10 p.m. and found one vehicle on fire, with the flames extending to additional vehicles.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading to more cars. No injuries were reported.

Total damage was estimated at $25,000. An initial investigation classified the fire as arson.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the fire department.
