Out and About in Greater Peoria: "The Aliens," DIY holiday gifts and a cookie and wine tasting

"The Aliens" at Corn Stock Theatre: This weekend, check out "The Aliens" at Corn Stock Theatre. The production features two disillusioned millennials who loiter behind a Vermont coffee shop and follows their journey teaching a lonely high school student everything they know about life, music and art. Directed by WCBU's Jody Holtz, it follows the three young men as they grapple with friendship, art, love and death.

DIY holiday gifts: Join the Peoria PlayHouse in the Makerspace at the Noble Center for a Holiday Crafternoon of family fun creating one-of-a-kind imaginative gifts for the holiday season! Tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to use our regular makerspace recycled materials as well as some specially curated holiday-themed items. Advanced registration is required!

Wine and cookie pairings at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard: This Sunday from 3 to 4:15 p.m., kick off November and get in the holiday spirit with a Cookie and Wine Pairing hosted by Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery & Van Horn Sweets! Bring your friends, family or a special someone for a learning and tasting experience at the vineyard. Diane Hahn, of Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery will lead guests through a wine tasting with a curated list of wines paired with gourmet cookies from Van Horn Sweets!
