Carle Health Greater Peoria has relocated its Methodist Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation Center to Proctor Hospital.

The transition to the Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Center to Proctor’s fourth floor officially took place Thursday. The new rehab center occupies the space that was previously the Transitional Care Center at Proctor.

Carle Health says the relocation or rehab services to Proctor allows a larger staff to accommodate patients’ needs. Additionally, patients will have access to private rooms and more modern facilities. Among those are a new dining room, an activity center, an advanced therapy gym, and a life skills room.

The move allowed Carle to avoid any service interruption from the closure of the rehab center at Methodist. No renovations were needed at Proctor, as the current floor plan was updated in 2017.
