Caterpillar says third quarter sales and revenue jumped 21% compared to the same period in 2021.
In its latest earnings report Thursday morning, the company reported $15 billion in sales last quarter, up from $12.4 billion in 2021’s third quarter.
The adjusted third quarter profit per share was a record $3.95.That’s up from $2.66 from the same period a year ago. The operating profit margin was at 16.2%, about 3% higher than the 2021 third quarter.
“Our team remains focused on serving our customers as we continued to see healthy demand across most of our end markets during the third quarter,” said Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Jim Umpleby.
