Authorities said Tuesday that a 37-year-old Havana woman died in a single-vehicle crash in rural Deer Creek on Christmas Day.

The crash happened sometime in the early morning hours Saturday near the intersection of U.S. 150 and County Line Road in rural Deer Creek, between Peoria and Bloomington-Normal.

Ella J. McGlothlin of rural Havana was pronounced dead at the scene, said Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley. No other vehicles were involved.

This case remains under investigation by Hanley's office and the Tazewell County sheriff’s office. Toxicology tests are pending.
