The Tri-County area has moved past 150,000 residents being fully vaccinated for COVID-19, with active cases in the region below 150.

The area added 2,814 fully dosed individuals over the past week, pushing the total to 151,494, or 43.1% of the population. Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties have now combined for more than 305,127 total shots in arms, an increase of 4,300 in the past seven days.

As of Monday, Tri-County health officials reported 12 patients with COVID-19 in Peoria-area hospitals and another 136 people isolating at home. The region's case count since the start of the pandemic is up to 45,638 while the death toll is at 762 — an increase of 89 infections and six fatalities since June 11.

State health officials say 54% of Illinois adults are fully vaccinated and 71% have received at least one dose. Illinois has recorded 1,744 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and 66 deaths since last Friday.
