"Don't Shoot" 11/21 Town Hall Meeting (Video)

Peoria’s “Don’t Shoot” program launched 15 months ago, with the intention of reducing violent gun crimes in the community. On Thursday, November 21st, 2013,  Peoria Public Radio hosted a town hall meeting with city, county and federal officials, to ask how the program is working. The discussion took place in council chambers, room 400 of Peoria City Hall, and broadcast on Peoria Public Radio, and streamed online. Participants include Mayor Jim Ardis, Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard, Peoria County State’s Attorney Jerry Brady and U.S. Attorney Jim Lewis. Media panelists are Marshanna Hesterof WHOI/WEEK, Nick Vlahosfrom thePeoria Journal Star and moderator Tanya Koonce of Peoria Public Radio.
