Man Charged With Arson After Chicago Hospital Fire

Authorities have charged a suburban man with arson after he allegedly started a fire at a hospital on Chicago's South Side.  23-year-old Marcus L. Allen of Harvey is charged with one felony count of aggravated arson.  The fire happened Thursday night at Jackson Park Hospital.

Police say security footage shows Allen and another patient starting a fire in a fourth-floor room. Police say the fire was quickly contained and there were no injuries reported. The other man was not charged.
A judge ordered Allen's bond be set at $750,000. It was not immediate clear if Allen is represented by an attorney.
