Activist groups in Ferguson to continue protests until demands are met

Activist groups calling themselves the Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition are promising to continue near daily protests until a list of five demands are met.
The coalition released the demands, many of which they have made before, outside the St. Louis county jail in Clayton Thursday. Members want Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson fired and charged with murder for Michael Brown’s death. And they also want St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch off the case.
Akbar Muhammed with the Nation of Islam said protestors are preparing to take shifts marching if necessary.
“They asked us, what would it take to get the people out of the street and bring Ferguson back to normal. It will take justice. And if they don’t want to respond to the demands, then the people will stay in the street.”
Members of the groups have been threatening for a week to bring in thousands of protestors to “shut St. Louis County down.” There were about 70 marchers Thursday.
