Bradley University Secures 1K Moderna Doses For COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Bradley University will offer two days of COVID-19 vaccine clinics for students next Monday and Tuesday.

The university's health services department received 1,000 Moderna doses from the Peoria City/County Health Department for distribution on campus.

Clinics will be held in the Markin Center Performance Court from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 12 and 13.

Second doses will be administered the week of May 10, shortly before students head off for summer break.

Students will need their Bradley ID to enter Markin for a vaccine. Registration can be completed by clicking here

Local health officials say the recent surge in COVID-19 cases is concentrated among younger people, particularly those age 19 and younger. The COVID-19 positivity rate on the Bradley campus as of Thursday was 3.62%.

That's a decrease from the 4.35% rate reported last week, and significantly lower than the 12% positivity rate reported in Peoria County as a whole.
