1 Man Dead, Another Injured After Peoria Shooting

One man is dead and another was critically injured after a shooting Monday afternoon in Peoria.

Peoria Police officer Amy Dotson said ShotSpotter picked up multiple rounds fired in the 600 block of West Corrington just before 4:40 p.m. Additional leads took police to a house in the 400 block of West Willcox.

Officers found two unresponsive men; both were shot multiple times.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood pronounced 25-year-old Demarcus Ferrell dead at the scene. Harwood said he was shot multiple times, and died instantly.

The other man was taken to the hospital.

There is no suspect information at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Peoria Police or CrimeStoppers.
