Peoria Reports 11th Homicide of 2020

The Peoria Police Department is investigating a homicide in Central Peoria.
Peoria Police Officer Amy Dotson said a person was found dead in a car in the 600 block of West Corrington just after 7 a.m. Friday.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the victim as 23-year-old Treek Booker-Lawson of Peoria on Friday evening. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dotson said she was found in the vehicle's driver's seat. There was a large amount of blood in the car, Dotson said.

There is no suspect information. This is Peoria's 11th recorded homicide this year.
