An 11-year-old Peoria boy is hospitalized with serious, but non life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon.
Peoria Police Officer Amy Dotson said the child was struck by a vehicle at Knoxville and Corrington just before 2:15 p.m.

The suspect vehicle, described as a gray or silver sedan or SUV, may have turned off Knoxville onto Hanssler. The suspect driver is described as a man between 20 and 30 years old who wears his hair in dreads.

Peoria police are requesting witness information; or any dashcam, residential, or business video footage of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Ryan Winkle at (309) 494-8285 or rwinkle@peoriagov.org.
