Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said a woman found unresponsive in a vehicle over the weekend was murdered.

Police found Keishana Currie, 34, of Peoria, unresponsive in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 500 block of W. Loucks around 5:15 a.m. Sunday.

Harwood said Currie suffered blunt force head trauma, and a single gunshot wound to the head.

The case is being investigated by Peoria police as a homicide.
