Bradley Commits to On-Campus Classes This Fall

WCBU

Bradley University students will be back on the Hilltop for fall classes.
Incoming university president Stephen Standifird announced Monday that on-campus classes will resume August 26. Residence halls reopen August 23.

Standifird said Bradley's "Return to Campus" team is currently studying modified classroom setups, limiting common area access, and other social distancing measures. The university has already implemented additional cleaning and sanitation measures.

"The size and location of Bradley have been a boasting point for many years," Standifird said. "Now, at a time when crowding and bigger cities pose a real health threat, these unique characteristics make Bradley a safer choice than schools in larger urban areas."

He said Peoria's large medical community also played a factor. Standifird notes the plans are fluid and could still change.

Bradley students finished up the spring semester remotely after leaving campus for spring break in March. May graduates will receive both a virtual graduation ceremony this month and an opportunity to walk in the December commencement.
