Opening Bid: Carle Health Offers $190M To Buy Eureka, BroMenn Hospitals

Urbana-based Carle Health has placed a $190 million bid to purchase Advocate Eureka Hospital and its sister hospital in Normal.
Advocate announced its intention to sell Eureka and BroMenn hospitals to Carle in January. Paperwork formalizing the sale was filed with a state regulatory board this month.
 
Carle does not project any changes to the level of services provided at either hospital with the sale. Eureka is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Woodford County.
