The Peoria Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly stole a van with a 6-month-old infant inside.
Around 9:45 a.m., police said a man stole the running van from the 2400 block of N. Dechman. It was found 45 minutes later in the 300 block of E. Gift with the baby still inside. Reportedly, the man stole the vehicle when the driver got out and went back into the house to get something.
A Code Red Alert was issued when the vehicle was stolen. A police K-9 was unable to track the suspect's whereabouts.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
